College of Business Administration

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Finance Management

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management is a four-year college course recommended for people who plan to make a career in Banking and Finance Industry. The program aims to help students acquire analytical skills, perception, and competencies necessary for sound financial decision making in the business world.

In comparison with BS in Business Administration which deals with the fundamental concepts of operating and managing a business, BSBA in Finance Management focuses on financial analysis, economics, investment strategies, management systems, banking and commercial planning.

The curriculum of BSBA in Finance Management includes CHED-mandated general subjects, with an emphasis on Money, Credit and Banking, Business and Finance, Taxation and Public Finance, Principles of Banking and Corporation Finance, Principles of Investments, Financial Policy and Central Banking. These classroom theories are later exercise during internship and on-the-job training.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Marketing Mamangement

The BSBA in Marketing Management program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills for effective marketing and sales strategies: how a company determines what product or service to sell, how customers and markets are delineated into target demographics, and the methods of reaching them. The course also focuses on strategic marketing issues which marketing managers assess before findings are presented to their executives. By learning to be an effective marketer and manager, you will learn to respond to the demands of competitors, the government, and larger social issues. Among the concepts and theories that will be discussed are sales management, brand, distribution, e-commerce, franchising, retailing, information technology and corporate social responsibility.

The program will provides you with opportunities to go beyond the classroom. Feasibility studies will require field work and interviews with customers in projected target markets.

As a versatile major, the course seeks to produce graduates who are able to work in the fields of marketing, advertising and research.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Human Resource Development Management

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Human Resource Development Management is a four-year college course that incorporates employment issues with business management. The program provides students with knowledge and abilities in workforce organization, job analysis, manpower recruitment and compensation, personnel training, legal provisions and other labor concerns.

In comparison with BS in Business Administration which deals with the fundamental concepts of operating and managing a business, BSBA in Human Resource Development Management focuses on people-oriented subjects associated with organizational workforce. The scope will cover such topics as principles and theories of employment, personnel training and skills development and other systems or procedures in handling and managing people.

The curriculum of BSBA in Human Resource Development Management includes CHED-mandated general subjects, with an emphasis on Administrative and Office Management; Labor Law and Legislation; Recruitment and Selection; Training and Development; Compensation Administration; Labor Relations and Negotiations; Strategic Human Resource Management; and Organizational Development.

College of Computer Studies

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

The BS in Computer Science course prepares you for proficiency in designing, writing and developing computer programs and computer networks. The field incorporates the study of computer algorithms and their implementation through computer software and hardware. You will study the intricacies of software applications, data processing, web development, programming and computer architecture. You will also attain skills in building computer networks.

Classroom lectures will equip you with the theoretical framework of computer science, but the key learning experiences will take place in computer laboratories where you will experiment with software applications, programming tools and actual computer design using hardware.

Ladderized Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

The BS in Computer Science course prepares you for proficiency in designing, writing and developing computer programs and computer networks. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program prepares students to be IT professionals who are able to perform installation, operation, development, maintenance and administration of computer applications. The goal of the program is to gear up students as “information technologists” who can assist individuals and organizations in solving problems using information technology (IT) techniques.

The BSIT program equips students with the basic ability to conceptualize, design and implement software applications. It also provides experience in the development of office support (word processing, spreadsheet, database and accounting), intranet and internet and specialized professional software (multi-media, website development and eCommerce). It also offers background in mathematical and computing principles.

The teaching methods used are classroom discussions, practicum exercises spent in computer laboratories and on the job training or internships.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCoE) program is a combination of electrical engineering and computer science. Its curriculum provides students with a foundation in basic science, mathematics, software and engineering.

The program equips students with the ability to analyze, plan, design, install, operate and maintain digital devices and computer hardware and software systems. These include operating systems (such as Windows and Linux) , middleware (such as android systems, game engines), business applications (such as Microsoft Office, accounting software) and network control systems (such as CISCO) and computer games. You will also be taught on how to design a microprocessor and develop an embedded systems that are used in desktops or handheld devices. In addition, written and oral communication skills are emphasized throughout the program .

The teaching methods used are classroom discussions, practicum exercises spent in computer laboratories, team projects and on the job trainings or internships.

Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering

The Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering (BS-ECE), also known as Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering, is a 5-year college program which focuses on the conceptualization, design and development of electronic, computer and communication products, systems, services and processes.

In comparison with BS Electrical Engineering, which deals with the general aspect of design and development of electrical equipments, such as power generators and electric motors, BS Electronics and Communication Engineering is a branch of Electrical Engineering which focuses on the study of design and development of Electronic equipments such as semiconductors and transmitters to be use in distant communications.

The BS ECE curriculum, built around a strong basic core of mathematics, physics and engineering, provides teaching and training activities in the classroom and in laboratory exercises. Subjects covered include communications device and networks systems, audio and video processing, radio and TV broadcasting, industrial electronics and instrumentation, integrated circuits design and more. This theoretical foundation is later practiced at on-the job training period to enhance the student’s professional preparation.

College of Criminal Justice Education

Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice

The Bachelor of Science in Criminology or Criminal Justice is a a 4-year college degree program intended for individuals who wish to have a career in the fields of law enforcement, security administration, crime detection and prevention or correctional administration.

The BS in Criminology program aims to foster the values of leadership, integrity, accountability and responsibility while serving fellowmen, community and the country. The course is comprised of CHED mandated general education subjects, profession-related courses and 2-phase practicum. BSCrim students will learn various theories, policies, practices and laws associated with criminal behavior and the methods applied to manage such deviant activities.

Subjects in this course include Police Photography, Ballistics, Forensic Science, Toxicology,Polygraphy and Legal Medicine. The course also offers special Physical Education classes which include Martial Arts, First Aid, Survival Training, Markmanship and Combat Shooting.

Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management

The Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) program is geared towards equipping students with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to provide quality service in the hospitality industry. The program contains subjects that will address the needs of different sectors in the hospitality industry, such as culinary, front office, tourism, resort and hotel operations. Its primary concentration is on the development of practical and management skills which are achieved through the combination of theoretical classes, practicum exercises and experiential learning.

Graduates of this course will possess business management and accounting skills to be able to compute daily sales, recipe costing/cost control and inventory management. The program also helps students to develop effective communication and interpersonal skills which are essential in establishing positive employer/employee/customer relations.

Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering

The Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering is a 4 year degree program that centers on the construction, operation, and maintenance of different kinds of marine vessels such as cargo ships, cruise ships, fishing boats, battleships and submarines.

This program aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to operate and maintain the different machineries installed in marine vessels, including the propulsion plant, adjunct and auxiliary machinery, electrical and refrigeration systems.

Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation

The Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) is a four-year undergraduate degree program which leads to a professional career in the maritime industry, as a marine deck officer. The Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation is taught through classroom-based frontal instructions, regular hands-on trainings usually conducted in special laboratories, as well as simulation activities regarding the use of modern ship equipments like the RADAR, ARPA, and GMDSS communication.

College of Medical Laboratory Sciences

Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science

BS in Medical Technology (BSMT), also known as as Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science, is a four year degree program that equips students with knowledge and skills in laboratory tests used in the detection, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases. The program consists of general education subjects (such as English and Filipino) and professional subjects (such as Clinical Chemistry and Blood Banking).

You will be taught on how to collect, preserve and analyze specimens such as blood, urine, cells and tissues as well as the preparation of reagents (compounds or substances added to a specimen in order to create a chemical reaction) and stains (a discoloration made by a foreign matter) . The program will also train you on how to use modern equipments, instruments and scientific methods to provide accurate laboratory results.

Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy

Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BSPT) is a five year degree program that teaches students the knowledge and skills in the rehabilitation and treatment of individuals with disabilities resulting from injury, illness and aging.

Under the program, students are trained in different methods on how to restore physical function, such as the use of hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, radiant and superficial heating, therapeutic ultrasound and therapeutic exercise regimens and techniques, patient education and training.

The BSPT program not only concentrates on the restoration of physical functioning, but also with the development, improvement and maintenance of overall health and well-being.
